Deputy Programme Manager-Energy, Guyana

DETAILS OF THE POST OF DEPUTY PROGRAMME MANAGER, ENERGY. Applications are invited from interested and suitably qualified nationals of Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Member States and Associate Members of the Caribbean Community to fill the abovementioned position in the Caribbean Community Secretariat with assigned duty station in Guyana.

2.  FUNCTIONS OF THE POST

Responsible for assisting in the mobilization and the disbursement of development assistance for the energy sector, the monitoring and evaluation of such assistance as well as the conduct of investigations into supply and pricing practices in the petroleum industry. The Deputy Programme Manager, Energy will also be responsible for the monitoring and support of member country programmes in energy planning and energy management including demand management that embrace the goals of the regional programme.

3. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Candidates should possess at least a graduate Degree in Energy Policy, Economics and/or Environmental Management with expertise in energy planning, energy management and energy efficiency plus 5 years relevant experience including promotion and implementation of effective Energy policies. Computer proficiency is essential.
