Our client is the largest operator of retail grocery stores in beautiful Bermuda. On their behalf, we are currently seeking experienced managers to join their thriving business on the Island.

We are currently seeking candidates for the following positions:
Assistant Store Manager
Produce Manager
Meat Managers and Butchers/Meat Cutters

Job Function:
To ensure the efficient functioning of the Store and/or its Produce and Meat departments, providing customers with the best quality products and ensuring courteous, timely customer service.

Duties may include:
To direct and supervise all store or department staff to secure efficient and courteous customer service
To respond immediately to any customer inquiries, requests and complaints
To maximize sales and gross profit, ensuring sales goals and budgets are met
To train new employees
Responsible for maintaining the condition of all fresh counters, freezers and coolers
To ensure the safety and sanitation of the store or department
To perform other duties as assigned.

Five years’ (minimum) experience in an Assistant Store Management OR Meat Management OR Produce Management role in a retail grocery setting.
Flexibility to work a variety of hours which include days, evenings, and weekends
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
The ability to accept responsibility for the effective functioning of the store or your particular department
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Due to the unique relocation required, candidates should be highly portable, able to relocate fairly easily, and have outside interests that coincide with the Island lifestyle. The initial term is 3 years though there would be opportunity to remain longer subject to Bermuda immigration/work permits etc.

Compensation is attractive and nearly completely TAX-FREE! (subject to only 4.75% payroll tax). The employer also offers relocation assistance, health benefits and temporary housing.
