Senior Oceanographer, Puerto Rico

 MS in Oceanography (PhD preferable). 10 to 15+ years of experience working in oceanographic and water quality studies. Candidates should have extensive knowledge in waste load allocation, modeling, mixing zone studies, waiver demonstration studies, design and implementation of field surveys and oceanographic field techniques. Good organizational skills and a proven ability to manage large and diverse data sets are necessary. Knowledge of Puerto Rico and Federal Environmental Regulations required (CWA 301(h), 316(a&b) & 403 demonstration studies). Must have strong technical writing skills in both Spanish and English. Establish and maintain good communication with government permitting officials. Fully bilingual. Excellent oral and written communication skills in both English and Spanish. Excellent computer skills (MS Office Suite) and managerial/leadership skills.

Routine maintenance of one or more aquarium exhibits, ensuring both animals health and exhibit cleanliness; food prep for all exhibits, accurate record-keeping, disease recognition and treatment; delivery of daily presentations to
